Cakes for Cause Bakeshop
I began baking in my early twenties in my moms kitchen as I was pregnant with my first son. Little did I know then just how far this journey would go. Now we are continuously growing and meeting new friends.
Being in the kitchen and serving delicious food has always brought me immense joy. Hand crafted desserts and cheesecakes have become my passion.
In June 2018 my second son Logan James was born with Trisomy21, more commonly known as Down Syndrome. As I've navigated the hardships of new motherhood, mental illness, and raising a special needs child; I have also found peace and pure happiness in hand crafting small batches of homemade, from-scratch desserts.
In April of 2021 Cakes for a Cause was born from my need to raise awareness about just how "extra" special that extra chromosome makes my Logi Bear. In hopes of spreading awareness and kindness, 10% of all sales are donated to our local Down Syndrome Association, which allows them to provide further education and services to those in our community.
